| |
Dear Colleagues and Friends, On behalf of the Spanish Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (SENPE), the Local Organising Committee has the pleasure and privilege to welcome you to the 34th Congress of the European Society of Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) which will be held in Spain in the historic and cultural city of Barcelona from the 8th to the 11th of September 2012.
In close collaboration with the members of ESPEN Committees, we have designed an attractive educational and scientific programme, which broadly covers the fields of nutrition and metabolism. In harmony with the motto of the Congress “Achieving goals in nutrition”, the Congress will address the practical aspects of nutritional treatment, defining goals in nutrition care and presenting the advances in the last years. We count with renowned international faculties to join Barcelona for discussing the most recent data in their field of expertise.
Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, with more than one million six hundred thousand residents, is located in the north east of Spain. The city is safe and friendly, and it’s a nice place to go sightseeing and visiting wonderful museums.
The Congress will take place in the “International Convention Centre of Barcelona” (CCIB), located in The Diagonal Mar Area, a new window to the sea. The CCIB is conveniently located, with more than 4,800 hotel rooms and restaurants in walking distance, and within less than 10 minutes of the centre of the old city by a direct subway line, bus, or by taxi.

RINCÓN DEL ARTISTA
Siguiendo las sugerencias de algunos miembros de ESPEN, el Comité Organizador Local (COL) organizará un “Rincón del Artista” durante el 34th Congreso ESPEN en Barcelona.
Este evento no forma parte del programa oficial de ESPEN, y está enfocado a todos los participantes al Congreso (independientemente de ser o no miembros de ESPEN) para darles una oportunidad de exponer su obra de arte.
Los interesados en participar deben enviar un correo electrónico al COL (e-mail: mplanasvila@gmail.com), detallando:

Una imagen de sus obras de arte que van a ser exhibidas (máximo dos piezas de su trabajo por persona).

Se aceptan pinturas, fotografías y esculturas (de tamaño razonable)
- Su nombre y nacionalidad
-
El título de su trabajo La fecha límite es el 3o de Junio para dar tiempo al COL de encontrar el lugar más conveniente para exhibir los trabajos.

El COL no se hace responsable de los trabajos expuestos; y ambos, el transporte y la retirada son responsabilidad única de los autores. En el mismo espacio se exhibirán las distintas propuestas presentadas al Concurso realizado para elegir el logo del Congreso ESPEN 2012 en Barcelona. |
